My kodak digital camera won't turn on!?!?

Hi so I have a fairly new Kodak digital 12x and I haven't used it in a couple months. I'm leaving for vacation tonight and I just took it out to test it and make sure it was working but the camera won't turn on! I thought it could've been the batteries so I got at least 3 new pairs of batteries to see if that would help but it didn't work. Whenever I would hold down the button to turn it on, the light at the top would flash green for a couple seconds then nothing would happen. When I looked into the eye lens at the top while turning it on it would flash white but then nothing would happen. Help please as fast as possible because I don't have much time left before I leave!
