My Kodak EasyShare M575 screen went black?

I just got my camera yesterday and it fell on the floor this morning. When I turn on the camera, the screen still works, but its only black, which meas that the lens is the one that�s broken or something. Do you know any way to fix this, or do you think that it might be something else? If so, please explain in detail, it�ll help out a lot. Thanks.
