What brand of cameras are better?

Hi everyone, well Im gonna be saving money for a new camera soon. What brand is better, Canon, Nikon, Kodak, etc.? The Nikon Coolpix S9100 12.1MP Digital Camera with 18X Optical Zoom has really caught my eye, because of the zoom, lol. I like cameras that have a lot of zoom :D But can you guys tell me what you think? :D Thanks in advance.
