Is the FUJI FINEPIX S1730 digital camera good?

i am looking to buy the FUJI FINEPIX S1730 digital camera as a first camera into the photography world! i have been used to a little kodak easyshare so was wondering if this one is any better? also if people have it could they tell me whats good and bad about it! thank you very much, all help is appreciated! :)
